Jarek Tomszak,

Poet, prose writer, screenwriter, and multimedia creator. Born in 1965 in Poland currently lives in the United States.

He’s been writing poetry and prose for over 40 years. Published three volumes of poetry in Polish: “Przebudzenie (Awakening)”, “Dziesieciolecia (Decades)” and “Koma Komety (Comet in Coma)” and also in Polish two collections of short stories Kafkaesque/sci-fi style, “Wersja oficjalna (The Official Version)” and sci-fi/dystopian “Ostatni horyzont (The Last Horizon)”, which was awarded the “Golden Kościej Award” in 2019 by the literary portal in the category ‘Short story of the Year’.

He also wrote short stories and screenplays in English. His film “Showroom Dummies” was awarded at Slamdance, an online festival of experimental short films, and selected for presentation at the Stream to Screen Video Festival in Chicago.

His novel “The Eden Evacuation” written and published in English, was awarded The BookFest Award, Fall 2024, and by The Literary Global Book Awards Finalist, 2024.
